Benefits of SAT
Students take SAT to seek admission in Colleges and Universities in Abroad and most importantly to secure scholarships in such universities. Also, Indian Universities have their entrance examination format like SAT and thus if a student has a high SAT score, he / she often don't have to sit for a local university's entrance exam!!

A high SAT score will increase the chances of admission in IVY League colleges.

There are good chances of getting some financial assistance with a high SAT Score.

Visa officers also give weightage to high SAT Scores while considering VISA applications.
IELTS
IELTS is designed to test one's skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking in English. It is conducted jointly by the university of Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Examinations, British Council and IDP: IELTS Austria. It is mandatory for immigration purpose to English speaking countries and for candidates who wish to enter such countries for jobs or studies. Around 7 Lakh people across the world take this test at 300 test centers in 120 countries every year. IELTS has 48 fixed test dates each year. IELTS scores are valid for two years only.

Candidates under the age of 16 are not eligible for this test

Candidates who are applying to study in UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and US can opt for this test

Medical professionals who are planning to work or follow further studies in the UK, Austria or US are also eligible

People opting to emigrate to any English speaking country need to take this test

IELTS General
The IELTS General Training test is for those who are going to English speaking countries for secondary education, work experience or training programs. It is also a requirement for migration to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK. The test focuses on basic survival skills in broad social and workplace contexts.
IELTS Academic
The IELTS Academic test is for people applying for higher education or professional registration in an English speaking environment. It reflects some of the features of academic language and assesses whether you are ready to begin studying or training.

IELTS General Test format
| IELTS Listening test (30 minutes) | You will have to listen to four recordings and then answer the questions asked. The recordings are of native English speakers and the duration of the test is 30 minutes. |
| IELTS Reading test (60 minutes) | The IELTS Reading test requires you to answer 40 questions and is designed to test you on an array of reading skills. You would have to read for gist, main ideas, details, logical arguments, skimming, and figuring out the writers' attitudes, opinions and intentions. |
